چکیده

• Clown anemonefish pomca , b agrp1 2 & mc4r-like genes compare to other teleosts. At 32 °C clown grow normally by eating more, if food is available. Higher intake correlates with increased expression of and reduced pomca. This supports orexigenic anorexigenic roles for these paralogues. The melanocortin system aids in modifying response climate change. ( Amphiprion ocellaris ) a common model species studies assessing the impact changes on tropical coral fish physiology, metabolism, growth, stress. However, basic endocrine principles control energy homeostasis, under normal elevated sea temperatures, this remain unknown. In work, we studied growth reared at different temperatures availability. We also analyzed system, which believed be involved appetite feeding behavior. These were two paralogues pomc : pomcb ; paralogs agrp agrp2 one . Groups juvenile exposed four experimental treatments combining (orthogonal design) rearing temperatures: 28 (T28; normal) (T32; high) regimes: (1 M; 08:00) or three (3 08:00, 12:00, 15:00) meals per day, fed satiety hand. results showed that high temperature (T32) did not affect average rate but induced stronger asymmetrical individual body weight within population (tank). Lower frequency M) resulted lower rates both temperatures. Fish had higher total daily intake, correlated pomca, supporting an role gene. High combined restricted levels morning meal compared control. mRNA responded differently from Levels inversely weight, indicating possible size/stage dependence gene expression. conclusion, our indicate adjusting low

Consistent behavioural traits and behavioural syndromes in pairs of the false clown anemonefish Amphiprion ocellaris.

Using the social clown anemonefish Amphiprion ocellaris, whether individuals exhibited consistency in activity levels, boldness and sociability in a paired context, and whether these three behavioural traits were positively correlated within a single behavioural syndrome, was investigated. The results highlight that consistent individual differences in behaviour are expressed in a social fish a...

Immunohistochemistry of Brain Arginine Vasotocin and Isotocin in False Clown Anemonefish Amphiprion ocellaris

The brain nanopeptides arginine vasotocin and isotocin are considered to be involved in the regulation of social and reproductive behavior in teleosts. We investigated the immunoreactivity of brain arginine vasotocin and isotocin neurons in four pairs of the protandrous false clown anemonefish Amphiprion ocellaris (Cuvier, 1830). After 450 days of pairing, the social rank of each individual was...

The effects of morphine and nicotine co-administration on body weight, food intake and appetite-regulating peptides in rats

Previous studies in humans and animals have reported that nicotine administration decreases body weightand caloric intake. Opiate and cigarette have been used concomitantly as drug abuse. The aim of the present study was, therefore, to analyze the effect of chronic co-administration of nicotine and morphine on food intake, body weight and on some feeding-associated peptides. All experiments wer...

Photoperiod effects on gene expression for hypothalamic appetite-regulating peptides and food intake in the ram.

Relationship between voluntary food intake (VFI) and gene expression for appetite-regulating peptides was examined in the brains of Soay rams under contrasting photoperiods. Two groups (n = 8) were subjected to alternating block long-day (LD) and short-day photoperiods (SD) over a period of 42 wk to entrain long-term cycles in VFI. Five animals from each group were killed 18 wk into LD or SD, a...
